Mr. Shapiro is an accomplished litigation specialist, as well as an appellate attorney. He has represented families from around the USA and abroad as well, in cases of wrongful death in California, Arizona and Nevada, and has many multi-million dollar settlements. He has special expertise in cases involving airplane crashes, and other aviation accidents.
His record of jury verdicts is impressive, including a verdict of $5.25 Million in San Francisco for a 60-year-old who required complex spinal surgery as the result of an elevator accident. He also won the appeal from the verdict, protecting the rights of all Californians to be able to recover full 100% recoveries against negligent property owners. He collected the full judgment after appeal, including 10% interest, for a total of $6.49 million.
He was an also award-winning law student at Santa Clara University, taking top honors in torts (personal injury) and appellate advocacy, and graduating suma cum laude (high honors). He has been with Blackman Legal Group for 15 years.
