Which relatives are allowed to sue for wrongful death?

Generally, the immediate family of the person killed are the plaintiffs. The actual heirs entitled to inherit from the deceased person are the same people who can sue for the wrongful death. This means the widow or widower and the children, and if none, then the parents, and if none, then the siblings of the decedent, etc.
